A.D.D. The Game 2.0

Rated: Everyone
If you have seen or played A.D.D. The Game at All-Con in the past three years then you may think you know all you need to know to capture the coveted A.D.D. Trophy. But here's the thing... we got distracted and lost track of this game as it was in the past. This year we've had to start over from scratch!

So, what exactly is A.D.D. The Game.2? Why it is a whole new take on one of the most popular (and certainly the loudest) of the Games and Theory line-up of shows. Much of the nature of this new game is being kept top secret for now. Much of the rest of the nature of this game has not been worked out yet. In fact there are some aspects that have yet to be considered, much less finalized. Rest assured that A.D.D. The Game will return in 2014 in a whole new way! And when we know what that way entails, we still won't let anyone know.

Once the work has been done setting up the rooms and preparing for the big opening day, it's time for the All-Con Pre-Con Pajama Party!

Barry Diamond Stand-Up Performance

Presented by: Barry Diamond
Rated: Mature
Diamond's credits are impressive. He has appeared in ''Friends'', ''Seinfield'', ''Politically Incorrect'', ''Curb Your Enthusiasm'' and every movie with the word ''party'' in it.

Diamond is an absolute hit on stage; he's a cut above the rest, with a high-calibre repertoire, which sees him undergo numerous personality changes with great effect. He also has a powerful singing voice and opens and closes his performance with two superb numbers. Then he dances. He dances the dance that dazzled the whirling dervishes of Persia in the 18th century. He dances himself and the audience into a frenzy until he is shot in the neck with a tranquilizer dart.

His act is difficult to describe, he doesn't tell one-liners, instead he prefers to weave different stories into his act. He introduces his various characters early in the show; they then appear throughout the act, often in the same sentence. The characters aren't impersonations of famous people, instead they're impersonations of everyday people, complete with hand gesturing and facial expressions. It's very unique, very wild and very funny. Then…the show starts. Mature content advisory.

Don't Tell My Wife I'm a Cult Leader (Screening)

Presented by: Todd A. Steinberg; Matt Rox
Rated: Everyone
Floyd Landers is leader of a religious cult. The first few years were fun, but Floyd finds the constant adoration annoying and keeping his fanatics in check is a big bother. Though most cults have to be secretive by necessity, Floyd has to take it the extra mile since his wife, Mandy Flanders, would divorce Floyd in a second if she found out that his bookstore 'employees' were actually brainwashed slaves.

Inevitably, his two lives clash, and Floyd must spend quality slack time rebalancing the charade so he can quickly get back to his low-key and easy-going lifestyle. Since Floyd favors quickness instead of caution, he'll often have to backtrack on his lies and bluffs, forgetting which story he told to whom, creating deeper holes that he will have to crawl out of at a later time. Ironically, as he restores balance, the chaos is multiplied and in the aggregate, Floyd's life gets more interesting.

GAME ROOM: Catan

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In the Settlers of CATAN, players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. On each turn dice are rolled to determine what resources the island produces. Players collect these resources (cards) - wood, grain, brick, sheep, or stone - to build up their civilizations to get to 10 victory points and win the game.

Points are accumulated by building settlements and cities, having the longest road and the largest army (from some of the development cards), and gathering certain development cards that simply award victory points. When a player has gathered 10 points (some of which may be held in secret), he announces his total and claims the win.

The Settlers of Catan has won multiple awards and is one of the most popular games in recent history due to its amazing ability to appeal to experienced gamers as well as those new to the hobby.

In Puerto Rico assume the roles of colonial governors on the island of Puerto Rico. The aim of the game is to amass victory points by shipping goods to the Europe or by constructing buildings. Players earn victory points for owning buildings, for shipping goods, and for manned ''large buildings.'' Each player's accumulated shipping chips are kept face down and come in denominations of one or five. This prevents other players from being able to determine the exact score of another player. Goods and doubloons are placed in clear view of other players and the totals of each can always be requested by a player. As the game enters its later stages, the unknown quantity of shipping tokens and its denominations require players to consider their options before choosing a role that can end the game.

GAME ROOM: Trains (AEG)

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
TRAINS: In the 19th century, shortly after the industrial revolution, railways quickly spread over the world. Japan, importing Western culture and eager to become one of the Grand Nations, saw the birth of many private railway companies and entered the Golden Age of railways. Eventually, as a result of the actions of powerful people and capitalists, many of these smaller companies gradually merged into larger ones.

In Trains, the players are such capitalists, managing private railways companies and striving to become bigger and better than the competition. The game takes place in modern times, with bullet trains, freight trains and more. You will start with a small set of cards, but by building a more effective deck throughout the game, you will be able to place stations and lay rails over the maps of Osaka, Tokyo or other locations. The trick is to purchase the cards you want to use, then use them as effectively as possible. Gain enough points from your railways and you will ultimately manage the most powerful railroads in modern Japan.
