A Piece of the Action Collectibles Presents:
All-Con Match Game

Superman said to Batman, "You might want to wait a minute before you go into the Men’s Room. I just saw "blank" walk out!"

That’s just an example of the kinds of questions you can expect when playing (or watching) All-Con Match Game at All-Con 2006! Also referred to as "Geek" Match Game, questions are currently being written by our friends Steve and Match Game master question writer Lee (as well as APOTAC’s own Mr. & Mrs. JediCole) that will have science fiction, fantasy, comic, and other fan-related themes. A six-member panel composed largely of All-Con guests willing to join the fun and partly of other local talents will fill in the blanks in hopes of matching our contestants in each round!

"How do I become an All-Con Match Game contestant?" you might ask. As well you should, since it will be a lot of fun for panelists, contestants, and the audience alike. But being a contestant puts you in the show! To insure that the contestant pool is available for all performances of Match Game (twice daily on Friday and Saturday, once on Sunday), contestant eligibility is open to Adult three-day Membership holders. (One and two-day pass holders will be considered on an as needed basis.) Please be sure to let the All-Con staff know that you are interested in participating so they can get your name and (if possible) cel phone number to us as we will be contacting prospective contestants by phone about one hour before each performance. Contestants will be chosen at random from the contestant pool. If unavailable for a given performance, another name will be drawn and the potential contestant will be returned to the contestant pool for the next performance(s).

Each performance of All-Con Match Game will consist of two rounds of matching by both contestants followed by a bonus round featuring the contestant with the most overall matches in the combined rounds or the winner of a tie-breaker round if required. If you are unfamiliar with the nature of Match Game don’t let that stop you from joining the contestant pool! We will have some time before each performance to brief contestants. Contestants in earlier performances are encouraged to join the audience for later rounds to enjoy the show from both sides of the stage.

All-Con will graciously provided us celebrities and guests as panelists and now we need contestants to "match the stars"! So how do you become a contestant for All-Con "Geek" Match Game?

All convention ticket holders (one or three day) will be eligible to become part of the Match Game contestant pool. You must check in at the APOTAC All-Con Super Store (in the Canterbury Room) to get your name in the pool. Please be sure to register up to one hour before any given performance to be eligible. Registrations made after the one hour mark will be eligible for the next performance of Match Game (there are five during the weekend).

To register we require only your name and a verification word you provide (so we can ensure that it is really you when we draw the names) and a notation if you will be available only on that day or all three days on a registration slip (provided by APOTAC). One hour before each performance all names collected will be put into a bin for random selection of that round's two contestants.

The drawing of the contestant's names will take place 10 minutes before each round and you must be present at the scheduled room for each round to be eligible to be a contestant if your name is drawn. Should a participant not be present at the time of their name will be put back in the pool for the next round. Two conestants will be randomly selected in this manner before each of the five rounds of Match Game (two on Friday, two on Saturday, and one on Sunday, see the schedule below). Please be sure to attend these performances even if you do not wish to become a contestant. We need a goodly sized "studio audience" to really enhance the game show feel and Match Game promises to be a lot of fun for panelists, contestants, and audience members alike. Every performance will be different!
