Perception of Beauty is a Moral Test
Elm: (Friday) 9:00 PM - 9:45 PM

Presented by: Rebecka Haskins-Hunt

Passing the ''test'' of beauty perceptions; How a girl born with a facial deformity and a rare birth defect evolved into a beautiful, confident advocate of self-acceptance. Before costuming (cosplay) became popular Rebecka was doing LARP style gaming and volunteering in costume. While it would be wonderful to think that diversity would be embraced, as a female game master Rebecka has seen the standards of beauty evolve. She has faced personal prejudice for her disabilities, deformity, size, gender and other traits. In the face of it all however she maintains her poise and confidence as well as a faith in others (for the most part).

Rebecka ''Mina'' Haskins-Hunt has been doing Cause Play, Cosplay and gaming for 25 years. She works with non-profit organizations locally and nationally in efforts to make the world a better place while bringing smiles and doing it creatively. Rebecka has a degree in Psychology, has done speaking engagements about her experiences growing up with a rare birth mutation and maintains a sense of humor in life despite overcoming incredible odds.
