Contestants: Three

It's baaaaaaak!

Returning for a third big year, the most grueling test of trivia knowledge from the House of Mouse will play out at ALL-CON 2015! Hosted by Rediscovering the Magic's own Rick Guitierrez and Roy Buckingham, Jr., this is a Disney trivia competition that will knock you out of your Mickey Mouse short pants! Cruelly difficult questions tax the knowledge of the most well-versed fan, though it is not without hope. The truly Walt-knowing will find navigating these evil questions a challenge, but your hosts feel that in the end the true Disney fanatic will find his or her place in Magic Kingdom(esque) history! And we don't mean as a frozen head in ''Walt's Vault'' either!

Grab your mouse ears and strap in for a thrill ride of fun and trivia as question after question will both confound and delight. Trivia runs the Disney gamut from the earliest animated features to more contemporary facets of Disnyana like the Muppets, Marvel Comics, and Star Wars. Even the long history of Disney television productions have informed the question base. Do you have what it takes to out Mouseketeer this challenge? Of course you do! (Wishing on a star wouldn't hurt, though.

All three contestants in this game are issued a trio Geek Cards which they must defend with correct answers when they buzz in, (Walt Disney's) ''Brave''-ly facing the 40 cruel(la Deville)-est questions ever offered up. Incorrect answers will cost a Geek Card and if all are lost during the game, well that contestant must Duck (Tales) out. But this challenge is not completely (K)im-Possible! Special Bonus Cards randomly included with some questions can save the day as they are effectively extra Geek Cards. Hidden Prize Cards add extra incentive as correct answers mean extra min(n)i(e Mouse) prizes for lucky contestants! While this is the most challenging of trivia competitions, we can assure you that if you know your Disney and you make it into the contestant pool, you won't come out looking dumb(o) at all!

Points are awarded for every correctly answered question as well as for each Geek Card retained and every Bonus Card earned (and retained). Prize Cards do not add to the point total, but at least there is a nice prize involved! Not a hardcore aficionado of Walt Disney Studios? Worry not, there are plenty of other versions of Don't Lose Your Geek Card! Check the schedule to find the perfect fit.

Contestants: Three

Back in my day you had to go to the 7-11 to buy your comic books! Back in my day Daleks sported plungers and we didn't mind! Back in my day it was just called ''Star Wars'' with no episode anything attached! Back in my day ''Battlestar Galactica'' starred the guy from ''Bonanza''! In my day Yondu had a big red fin on his head and there were no talking trees in ''Guardians of the Galaxy''!

While applicable to some aspects of this incarnation of Don't Lose Your Geek Card, the mix of trivia put forth will come from a little bit broader range. Think trivia from the 70s and 80s for the most part. Kind of ''back in the day'' for many at All-Con. If you grew up on the 70s and/or 80s and think you have what it takes to jump into the middle of those decades then you have found the version of this game show that is ideal. Categories could include movies, comic books, music, television, video games, and pretty much anything pop culture.

Points are awarded for every correctly answered question as well as for each Geek Card retained and every Bonus Card earned (and retained). Prize Cards do not add to the point total, but at least there is a nice prize involved! This edition of the show will be all over the map from the standpoint of categories, but limited to about a 20 year period. Looking for something different in your game show choices? There are a lot of different veresions of Don't Lose Your Geek Card from which to choose!

The sci-fi television series ''Galaxy Quest'', which took place aboard the intergalactic spaceship NSEA Protector, starred Jason Nesmith as suave Commander Peter Quincy Taggert, Gwen DeMarco as sexy communications person Lt. Tawny Madison (a role which consisted solely of repeating what the computer stated, much to Gwen's annoyance), Shakespearean trained Sir Alexander Dane as alien Dr. Lazarus, Fred Kwan as engineer Tech Sgt. Chen, and Tommy Webber as child gunner Laredo. Seventeen years after the series last aired, it lives on in the hearts of its rabid fans. However, it lives on in infamy for its stars, who have not been able to find meaningful acting work since. Their current lives revolve around cashing in on however those roles will afford, which usually entails attending fan conventions or worse, such as shopping mall openings. Only Jason seems to relish his lot in life, until he finds out that his co-stars detest him because of his superior attitude as ''the Commander''...

 Game Room: 7 Wonders

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
You are the leader of one of the 7 great cities of the Ancient World. Gather resources, develop commercial routes, and affirm your military supremacy. Build your city and erect an architectural wonder which will transcend future times.

7 Wonders lasts three ages. In each age, players receive seven cards from a particular deck, choose one of those cards, then pass the remainder to an adjacent player. Players reveal their cards simultaneously, paying resources if needed or collecting resources or interacting with other players in various ways. Each player then chooses another card from the deck they were passed, and the process repeats until players have six cards in play from that age. After three ages, the game ends.

 Game Room: Apples to Apples

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
The party game Apples to Apples consists of two decks of cards: Things and Descriptions. Each round, the active player draws a Description card (which features an adjective like ''Hairy'' or ''Smarmy'') from the deck, then the other players each secretly choose the Thing card in hand that best matches that description and plays it face-down on the table. The active player then reveals these cards and chooses the Thing card that, in his opinion, best matches the Description card, which he awards to whoever played that Thing card. This player becomes the new active player for the next round.

 Game Room: Castellan

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In Castellan, players work together to build a castle. Finely detailed wall and tower pieces link together to form courtyards, and the player who finishes a courtyard claims it with a Keep, scoring points for that courtyard equal to the number of tower pieces surrounding it.

In more detail, each player starts the game with two decks of cards: a wall deck and a tower deck. Each card allows a player to play the components shown on it, with the wall deck cards always depicting at least one wall (and some combination of walls/towers) and the tower deck cards always depicting at least one tower (and again some combination of walls/towers). On a turn, a player can play as many cards as she wants, but she draws only one card at the end of her turn. The goal is to create courtyards - and subdivide existing courtyards - while keeping your opponent from doing the same. Players have the same cards in their decks, so the challenge is all about what to use when. The game ends when all the castle pieces are used up, and the player with the most points wins.

 Game Room: Catan

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In the Settlers of CATAN, players try to be the dominant force on the island of Catan by building settlements, cities, and roads. On each turn dice are rolled to determine what resources the island produces. Players collect these resources (cards) - wood, grain, brick, sheep, or stone - to build up their civilizations to get to 10 victory points and win the game.

Points are accumulated by building settlements and cities, having the longest road and the largest army (from some of the development cards), and gathering certain development cards that simply award victory points. When a player has gathered 10 points (some of which may be held in secret), he announces his total and claims the win.

The Settlers of Catan has won multiple awards and is one of the most popular games in recent history due to its amazing ability to appeal to experienced gamers as well as those new to the hobby.

Some pre-game instruction is available for players not already familiar with game play, compliments of the gaming crew from Roll2Play.

 Game Room: Claustrophobia

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Claustrophobia is a miniatures-based dungeon crawl game set within the universe of Hell Dorado.

One player controls a small group of determined humans, while the other plays an almost unending army of demonic creatures. The game is thematic and highly asymmetric: human characters are stronger, but the demon characters are more numerous.

In essence dice are allocated after rolling to perform actions, while cards or special abilities are also available. The game is about managing decisions and choosing what to do with the resources that you have, managing difficult events and out-thinking your opponent. Combat is handled by dice.

Complexity is low, with the focus on theme and building towards a tense, climactic ending.

 Game Room: Cubist

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In Cubist, you and your opponents are architects competing to build a grand and inspiring new Modern Art Museum including its interior sculptures or ''installations.'' Aptly enough, your building materials are cubes, or more precisely, dice!

On each turn you roll two dice and place them in your studio as raw materials for your cubist sculptures. From there you position these dice to complete commissioned installations for the museum. Dice with identical numbers can be stacked on top of one another to give your sculpture elevation and grandeur. Dice with adjacent numbers go next to one another to construct unconventional footprints of modernism. You can press your luck by committing to a certain risky commission—hoping that no one else will complete it first -- or play it safe by locking up your dice for later use.

You can also use your dice to enlist the aid of masters of modern art like Juan Gris, Franz Marc and Olga Rozanova. Each installation you complete allows you to contribute dice to the building of the Museum itself. You will have to sculpt cleverly but quickly to get the new Museum named after you!

 Game Room: DC Deck Building

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Batman! Superman! Wonder Woman! Aquaman! The Flash! Green Lantern! Cyborg! The Justice League of America is ready for action – are you? Fight the never-ending battle for truth, justice, and peace in the DC Comics Deck-Building Game!

To start the game, each player chooses one of the seven over-sized hero cards, each of which has a special power, and starts with a deck of ten cards. Each turn, a player starts with a hand of five cards and can acquire or conquer the five types of cards in the game: heroes, villains and super-villains, equipment, super powers, and locations. To defeat villains, you'll need to have power -- but when a super-villain is defeated, a new one comes into play, attacking all the heroes while doing so. Make sure you've acquired defenses -- like super speed or bulletproof powers, or The Batsuit equipment -- to protect yourself from harm.

Craft your hero deck into a well-oiled machine to take on the most vile villains in the DC Universe in your quest for Victory!

 Game Room: Dixit

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
One player is the storyteller for the turn and looks at the images on the 6 cards in her hand. From one of these, she makes up a sentence and says it out loud (without showing the card to the other players).

Each other player selects the card in their hands which best matches the sentence and gives the selected card to the storyteller, without showing it to the others.

The storyteller shuffles her card with all the received cards. All pictures are shown face up and every player has to bet upon which picture was the storyteller's.

If nobody or everybody finds the correct card, the storyteller scores 0, and each of the other players scores 2. Otherwise the storyteller and whoever found the correct answer score 3. Players score 1 point for every vote for their own card.

The game ends when the deck is empty or if a player scores 30 points. In either case, the player with the most points wins the game.

''You are a monarch, like your parents before you, a ruler of a small pleasant kingdom of rivers and evergreens. Unlike your parents, however, you have hopes and dreams! You want a bigger and more pleasant kingdom, with more rivers and a wider variety of trees. You want a Dominion! In all directions lie fiefs, freeholds, and feodums. All are small bits of land, controlled by petty lords and verging on anarchy. You will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under your banner.

But wait! It must be something in the air; several other monarchs have had the exact same idea. You must race to get as much of the unclaimed land as possible, fending them off along the way. To do this you will hire minions, construct buildings, spruce up your castle, and fill the coffers of your treasury. Your parents wouldn't be proud, but your grandparents, on your mother's side, would be delighted.''

Fluxx is a card game in which the cards themselves determine the current rules of the game. By playing cards, you change numerous aspects of the game: how to draw cards, how to play cards, and even how to win.

At the start of the game, each player holds three cards and on a turn a player draws one card, then plays one card. By playing cards, you can put new rules into play that change numerous aspects of the game: how many cards to draw or play, how many cards you can hold in hand or keep on the table in front of you, and (most importantly) how to win the game. There are many editions, themed siblings, and promo cards available.

You'll need to coordinate with your teammates and use every available resource if you hope to survive the scorching heat and relentless sandstorm. Find the flying machine and escape before you all become permanent artifacts of the forbidden desert!

In Forbidden Desert, a thematic sequel to Forbidden Island, players take on the roles of brave adventurers who must throw caution to the wind and survive both blistering heat and blustering sand in order to recover a legendary flying machine buried under an ancient desert city. While featuring cooperative game play similar to Forbidden Island, Forbidden Desert is a fresh new game based around an innovative set of mechanisms, such as an ever-shifting board, individual resource management, and a unique method for locating the flying machine parts.

 Game Room: Forbidden Island

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Forbidden Island is a visually stunning 'cooperative' board game. Instead of winning by competing with other players like most games, everyone must work together to win the game. Players take turns moving their pawns around the island, which is built by arranging the many beautifully screen-printed tiles before play begins. As the game progresses, more and more island tiles sink, becoming unavailable, and the pace increases. Players use strategies to keep the island from sinking, while trying to collect treasures and items. As the water level rises, it gets more difficult- sacrifices must be made.

With multiple levels of difficulty, different characters to choose from (each with a special ability of their own), many optional island formats and game variations available, Forbidden Island has huge replay value. More players translates into a faster and more difficult game, though the extra help can make all the difference. This is a fun game, tricky for players of almost any age.

 Game Room: Frag

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Frag is the essence of early first person shooters like Doom and Quake distilled into a board game. The tagline sums up the game: ''If it moves, shoot it.''

Players create characters by assigning stat points and spawn on the game board, then roll dice to move around the board, pick up weapon and gadget cards, and shoot at opponents. There are also cheat cards that can be used to gain an advantage on other players when they least expect it. When players are killed they respawn on their next turn and the first player to score three kills is the winner.

In the game, you draw cards asking you to list a certain number of things which fall under a certain category: comic books, fantasy, games, science fiction, and miscellaneous. Before you begin, however, the other players may try to steal your points (and bragging rights!) by bidding to list even more than the card requires. The bidding continues until one player is ready to ''out-geek'' their friends. Collect a predetermined number of cards, and you win!

 Game Room: Gloom

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
The world of Gloom is a sad and benighted place. The sky is gray, the tea is cold, and a new tragedy lies around every corner. Debt, disease, heartache, and packs of rabid flesh-eating mice -- just when it seems like things can't get any worse, they do. But some say that one's reward in the afterlife is based on the misery endured in life. If so, there may yet be hope -- if not in this world, then in the peace that lies beyond.

In the Gloom card game, you assume control of the fate of an eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes. The goal of the game is sad, but simple: you want your characters to suffer the greatest tragedies possible before passing on to the well-deserved respite of death. You'll play horrible mishaps like Pursued by Poodles or Mocked by Midgets on your own characters to lower their Self-Worth scores, while trying to cheer your opponents' characters with marriages and other happy occasions that pile on positive points. The player with the lowest total Family Value wins.

 Game Room: King of Tokyo

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In King of Tokyo, you play mutant monsters, gigantic robots, and strange aliens -- all of whom are destroying Tokyo and whacking each other in order to become the one and only King of Tokyo.

At the start of each turn, you roll six dice. The dice show the following six symbols: 1, 2, or 3 Victory Points, Energy, Heal, and Attack. Over three successive throws, choose whether to keep or discard each die in order to win victory points, gain energy, restore health, or attack other players into understanding that Tokyo is YOUR territory.

The fiercest player will occupy Tokyo, and earn extra victory points, but that player can't heal and must face all the other monsters alone!

Game Room: Last Night on Earth

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Last Night on Earth is a survival horror board game that pits small-town Heroes head-to-head against a horde of Zombies. A team of heroes is chosen by players, and the Zombies are controlled by other players. Each hero has its own special abilities. The board is modular, which changes the layout of the town and start positions of each hero. The game comes with several scenarios, which include simple survival, rescue, or escape. Differing combinations of heroes, scenarios, and board configurations offer a lot of replay-ability.

 Game Room: Lords of Waterdeep

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Waterdeep, the City of Splendors -- the most resplendent jewel in the Forgotten Realms, and a den of political intrigue and shady back-alley dealings. In this game, the players are powerful lords vying for control of this great city. Its treasures and resources are ripe for the taking, and that which cannot be gained through trickery and negotiation must be taken by force!

 Game Room: Love Letter

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
All of the eligible young men (and many of the not-so-young) seek to woo the princess of Tempest. Unfortunately, she has locked herself in the palace, and you must rely on others to take your romantic letters to her. Will yours reach her first?

Love Letter is a game of risk, deduction, and luck. Your goal is to get your love letter into Princess Annette's hands while deflecting the letters from competing suitors. From a deck with only sixteen cards, each player starts with only one card in hand; one card is removed from play. On a turn, you draw one card, and play one card, trying to expose others and knock them from the game. Powerful cards lead to early gains, but make you a target. Rely on weaker cards for too long, however, and your letter may be tossed in the fire!

 Game Room: Machi Koro

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Welcome to the city of Machi Koro. You've just been elected Mayor. Congrats! Unfortunately the citizens have some pretty big demands: jobs, a theme park, a couple of cheese factories and maybe even a radio tower. A tough proposition since the city currently consists of a wheat field, a bakery and a single die.

Armed only with your trusty die and a dream, you must grow Machi Koro into the largest city in the region. You will need to collect income from developments, build public works, and steal from your neighbors' coffers. Just make sure they aren't doing the same to you!

Machi Koro is a fast-paced game. Each player wants to develop the city on his own terms in order to complete all of the landmarks under construction faster than his rivals. On his turn, each player rolls one or two dice. If the sum of the dice rolled matches the number of a building that a player owns, he gets the effect of that building; in some cases opponents will also benefit from your die (just as you can benefit from theirs). Then, with money in hand a player can build a landmark or a new building, ideally adding to the wealth of his city on future turns. The first player to construct all of his landmarks wins!

 Game Room: Pandemic

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In Pandemic, several virulent diseases have broken out simultaneously all over the world! The players are disease-fighting specialists whose mission is to treat disease hotspots while researching cures for each of four plagues before they get out of hand.

The game board depicts several major population centers on Earth. On each turn, a player can use up to four actions to travel between cities, treat infected populaces, discover a cure, or build a research station. A deck of cards provides the players with these abilities, but sprinkled throughout this deck are Epidemic! cards that accelerate and intensify the diseases' activity. A second, separate deck of cards controls the ''normal'' spread of the infections.

Taking a unique role within the team, players must plan their strategy to mesh with their specialists' strengths in order to conquer the diseases. For example, the Operations Expert can build research stations which are needed to find cures for the diseases and which allow for greater mobility between cities; the Scientist needs only four cards of a particular disease to cure it instead of the normal five -- but the diseases are spreading quickly and time is running out. If one or more diseases spreads beyond recovery or if too much time elapses, the players all lose. If they cure the four diseases, they all win!

 Game Room: Puerto Rico

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In Puerto Rico players assume the roles of colonial governors on the island of Puerto Rico. The aim of the game is to amass victory points by shipping goods to Europe or by constructing buildings.

Each player uses a separate small board with spaces for city buildings, plantations, and resources. Shared between the players are three ships, a trading house, and a supply of resources and doubloons.

The resource cycle of the game is that players grow crops which they exchange for points or doubloons. Doubloons can then be used to buy buildings, which allow players to produce more crops or give them other abilities. Buildings and plantations do not work unless they are manned by colonists.

During each round, players take turns selecting a role card from those on the table (such as ''Trader'' or ''Builder''). When a role is chosen, every player gets to take the action appropriate to that role. The player that selected the role also receives a small privilege for doing so - for example, choosing the ''Builder'' role allows all players to construct a building, but the player who chose the role may do so at a discount on that turn. Unused roles gain a doubloon bonus at the end of each turn, so the next player who chooses that role gets to keep any doubloon bonus associated with it. This encourages players to make use of all the roles throughout a typical course of a game.

Puerto Rico uses a variable phase order mechanic, where a ''governor'' token is passed clockwise to the next player at the conclusion of a turn. The player with the token begins the round by choosing a role and taking the first action.

Players earn victory points for owning buildings, for shipping goods, and for manned ''large buildings.'' Each player's accumulated shipping chips are kept face down and come in denominations of one or five. This prevents other players from being able to determine the exact score of another player. Goods and doubloons are placed in clear view of other players and the totals of each can always be requested by a player. As the game enters its later stages, the unknown quantity of shipping tokens and its denominations require players to consider their options before choosing a role that can end the game.

 Game Room: Revolution

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Blackmail the printer. Threaten the innkeeper. Bribe the priest. Welcome to Revolution!

Secretly bid against your opponents to gain victory points, control territories (worth victory points at the end of the game) and collect more Gold, Blackmail, and Force tokens for the next round of bidding! Will you try to control the tavern or the fortress? The harbor or the plantation? Knowing where to push for points - and where to back away and let your opponents fight - is the key to victory. Whoever has the most victory points at the end of the game wins. It's a game of bluff, counter-bluff, and surprise!

Bidding tokens have different shapes and colors for easy identification. Colorful cardstock shields keep your bids private, and also provide a handy rules reference during the auction. Brightly-colored wooden blocks allow players to see, at a glance, who controls which colonial-themed territories.

Revolution!

 Game Room: Small World

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In Small World, players vie for conquest and control of a world that is simply too small to accommodate them all. Small World is inhabited by a zany cast of characters such as dwarves, wizards, amazons, giants, orcs, and even humans, who use their troops to occupy territory and conquer adjacent lands in order to push the other races off the face of the earth.

Picking the right combination from the 14 different fantasy races and 20 unique special powers, players rush to expand their empires - often at the expense of weaker neighbors. Yet they must also know when to push their own over-extended civilization into decline and ride a new one to victory!

On each turn, you either use the multiple tiles of your chosen race (type of creatures) to occupy adjacent (normally) territories - possibly defeating weaker enemy races along the way, or you give up on your race letting it go ''into decline''. A race in decline is designated by flipping the tiles over to their black-and-white side.

At the end of your turn, you score one point (coin) for each territory your races occupy. You may have one active race and one race in decline on the board at the same time. Your occupation total can vary depend on the special abilities of your race and the territories they occupy. After the final round, the player with the most coins wins.

 Game Room: Smash Up

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
The ''shufflebuilding'' game Smash Up starts with a simple premise: Take the twenty-card decks of two factions, shuffle them into a forty-card deck, then compete to smash more Bases than your opponents! Each faction brings a different game mechanism into play -- pirates move cards, zombies bring cards back from the discard pile, dinosaurs have huge power -- and every combination of factions brings a different play experience. With eight different factions, Smash Up includes dozens of combinations to try. Pirate-Aliens play different than Ninja-Aliens, for instance. Which will you use to smash up your opponents? (And did we mention the dinosaurs have laser beams?)

Some pre-game instruction is available for players not already familiar with game play, compliments of the gaming crew from Roll2Play.

 Game Room: Star Realms

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Star Realms is a fast paced deck-building card game of outer space combat. It combines the fun of a deck-building game with the interactivity of Trading Card Game style combat. As you play, you make use of Trade to acquire new Ships and Bases from the cards being turned face up in the Trade Row from the Trade Deck. You use the Ships and Bases you acquire to either generate more Trade or to generate Combat to attack your opponent and their bases. When you reduce your opponent's score (called Authority) to zero, you win!

 Game Room: Summoner Wars

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
Summoner Wars is a fast-playing, action-packed card game. Players take on the role of Summoners: powerful beings who harness the power of mysterious Summoning Stones to lead their race to conquest on the war-torn planet of Itharia. These Summoners wield terrible magic on the battlefield, freezing their foes in place, draining their enemies of power, and even bringing rains of fire down from the heavens. But most notoriously, they summon their great race's hordes of warriors to the battlefield, to clash in the never-ending struggle for supremacy. A Summoner is both mage and general, and must combine their wizardly might with clever tactics to defeat the enemy Summoner on the opposite side of the battle.

 Game Room: Sushi Go

Presented by: Roll2Play
Rated: Everyone
In the super-fast sushi card game Sushi Go!, you are eating at a sushi restaurant and trying to grab the best combination of sushi dishes as they whiz by. Score points for collecting the most sushi rolls or making a full set of sashimi. Dip your favorite nigiri in wasabi to triple its value! And once you've eaten it all, finish your meal with all the pudding you've got! But be careful which sushi you allow your friends to take; it might be just what they need to beat you!

Sushi Go! takes the card-drafting mechanism of Fairy Tale and 7 Wonders and distills it into a twenty-minute game that anyone can play. The dynamics of ''draft and pass'' are brought to the fore, while keeping the rules to a minimum. As you see the first few hands of cards, you must quickly assess the make-up of the round and decide which type of sushi you'll go for. Then, each turn you'll need to weigh which cards to keep and which to pass on. The different scoring combinations allow for some clever plays and nasty blocks. Round to round, you must also keep your eye on the goal of having the most pudding cards at the end of the game!

Laser Trainer Shooting Gallery ... and Ping Pong!

Presented by: ALL-CON
Rated: Everyone
ALL-CON has always offered an odd selection of misfit activities. ALL-CON veterans will recall the Candy Fight, (NERF) Rocket Wars, Imperial Olympics, Laser Tag, and slot car racing! This year we're stocking the activity center with two 'games' at once: A Laser Trainer Shooting Gallery and Ping Pong. We tried very hard to create a triathlon event but it never came together, so the two activities will simple share the same room and time slots.

LASER TRAINER SHOOTING GALLERY. This may be your one and only opportunity to play with guns at ALL-CON. The computer calls the shots as you face down bad guys. Each shot is recorded and scored for accuracy and time. Find out what happens when ALL-CON staff gets their hands on a real semi-professional laser trainer!

PING PONG. It sounds silly, but where else is there in the city can you go to play a couple of games of two-on-two, or take on your friends in a grudge match? Think you're good with a controller? Find out if your eye-hand coordination is as good when you play a game that also involves geometry and physics at work.

Presented by: Mrs. JediCole Houston
Rated: Everyone
Have you ever played Monopoly and thought to yourself, ''What would this game be like if it was fun?'' Well struggle with that question no more! Mrs. JediCole will be offering open gaming of her Life Isn't Fair Monopoly game, a variation on the old classic board game that is actually fun to play!

Players can go from rags to riches to rags and back again during the course of this lively update. Sent to jail? No problem! With a roll of the dice you could get off on a technicality or frame another player! You like collecting that $200 when you pass Go, right? Well in this game you lose $10 of that money for every dependent child you've picked up along the way. Got a lot of properties in your name? Go to jail and you could lose them to other players while you are incarcerated!

But it's not all bad! Every player starts the game with property. You could spend a few turns on welfare or win the Lottery and take all the money that ''The Man'' has collected in the center of the board! Still losing? Marry for money.

Limited seats available - pre registration recommended, but not required. Walk-ins welcome on a space-available basis.

In one alternate universe a certain radioactive spider bit one of Peter Parker's classmates instead: the policeman's daughter and one of comicdom's great tragic figures, Gwen Stacy, who in a few scant panels of the recent hit comic Edge of Spider-Verse #2 learned her own lessons about power and responsibility while trying to make it big as the drummer in an up-and-coming band: The Mary Janes.

In another alternate universe (hint: ours)>/i> a real band known as Married With Sea Monsters gets inspired by the look and the idea of Spider-Gwen and The Mary-Janes, takes on that name 'as a disguise' and records the fictional band's breakout hit, ''Face It Tiger,'' to the delight of comic book and indie rock fans worldwide. 3 Contestants

It's not so much ''chick flicks'' as movies popular with the ladies when it comes to the content of this unique edition of Screen Time. If you know movies and especially familiar or famous movie quotes, this is the game for you! And while we won't prohibit men from joining the contestant pool, this show's host, Lacey Hatfield, would like to have as many girls in the mix as possible. Besides, there are five other incarnations of Screen Time all weekend long! Screen Time was played on Friday only in 2014 and proved such a hit that it will return daily in 2015. All quotes for this version of the game are certified family friendly, so you can even bring along the kiddos to watch the fun unfold.

Screen time is part movie trivia, part movie quotes, and all fun. The big twist is that movie quotes are read without inflection or any attempt to imitate the characters or actors. The bulk of points awarded are for correctly identifying the movie, the actor, and/or the character from a movie quote read by the hosts ''as if your grandma was reading the line with no knowledge of the source''. Contestants gain from one to three points per correct identification with recognizing your favorite quotes out of context being the real challenge. Standard trivia and other components round out the game play.

This panel will be a part of a documentary we will be shooting called ''Jedi From Dallas'' over the course of 2015.

Some topics open for discussion...

Shed the mild-mannered nature of your secret identity and reveal the hero for the day. Demonstrate to others your values and virtues, and any super powers that are yours to command! (Please do not reveal any powers which may be unsafe to exercise in confined areas or indoors... laser vision, heat breath, sonic scream, etc.) ALL-CON welcomes established heroes whom we've all read about and seen on screen.

We also look forward to the introduction of new 'independent' heroes who may not have ever gotten a proper introduction to the great city of Dallas, but who are equally instrumental in the fight against forces of evil and the unjust! A trophy awaits the best or most creative of the heroes! This is ALL-CON's eighth year running this competition.

It wouldn't be a super event without getting everyone in on the fun so all members of the audience will also have the chance to walk away with prizes, too!

To register for the contest head over to the BDG Entertainment artist table in the Exhibit Hall.

What Does God Need With a Starship?

    Presented by: The StoryMen Podcast
    Rated: Everyone
From the Christ-like figure of Superman to the frequently metaphysical adventures of the USS Enterprise, fantasy and science fiction have long provided a fertile ground for considering religious and philosophical questions in a new light. Yet while our DnD characters can pray to any number of fictional deities, it's difficult to imagine the Chronicles of Narnia being published today – and we are often much more comfortable sharing our love for Goku than God. As mainstream interest in SFF grows and religion becomes an increasingly private affair, how will their relationship change? What is it about spaceships and superheroes that touches our spirituality, and how can a passion for one inspire the other?

The panel includes authors Jake Kerr, Gabriel Gurrero, Clay Morgan and JR. Forasteros.
