Retired Certified Engineering Construction Special Inspector in Commercial and Residential construction projects for 30 years. Certified Underwater Construction Inspector, Seismic Evaluation Engineer and Inspector, FAA and DOT Inspector for the States of Utah, Washington State, Louisiana and South Carolina. Nuclear Power Plant Structural Inspector in South Carolina. Former Veteran of the United States Navy (8 Years); served aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower CVN-69, USS McClusky FFG-41, The Pacific Missile Test Center at Point Mugu, California, Naval Tracking Operations at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and Combat Tactical Analysis Specialist for CTF-60 (Commander Task Force #60) Under the Command of the Late Admiral Jerry O. Tuttle. Certified SCUBA Diver (Open Water, Cave, Wreck & Dive Master).

Lifelong Sci-Fi fan, he attended his first convention in 1979. He became a Galactica fan and a Semi-Collector ever since. He was touched so deeply by The Battlestar Galactica TV Series and Movie, that while serving in the Military aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower; he became a Air Intercept Controller and E-2 Aircraft Communications and Tactical situation Specialist within the Combat Information Center (CIC) of those Ships and Stations previously mentioned mainly in part to the role of Flight Corporal Rigel of who the character of the show played by Miss Sarah Rush had inspired his Military accolades.

Michael is currently serving as Executive Officer of the Colonial Warriors Fan Group, Vice President of the Colonial Warriors Fan Group Executive Council and Author of the Battlestar Galactica Celebration Facebook Page. He is also a very slick and formidable Pyramid Card player, Enjoys the Sports of Golf Tournaments and League Bowling.

Join The Colonial Warriors for a night of classic BATTLESTAR GALACTICA TRIVIA!
So, get your squadrons together and get ready to show off your Battlestar knowledge.
Come have some fun and test your knowledge of the Twelve Colonies, the Cylon Empire, and all the 1978 Battlestar Galactica TV and movie trivia you may have, and you might win some of the many FREE prizes provided by your hosts.
Four rounds consisting of five questions each with opportunities for bonus points.
Multiple choice, fill-in-the-blank, identify the photos, scenes, and so forth. Teams of two to six members.
Sign-ups will be taken on the day of the event. Entry is free, but spaces are limited.
For those of you who think they know the classic Battlestar Galactica, this is the panel for you.
There will be free prizes for the winners, and of course, bragging rights!

Loved around the world, with reruns on Me-TV, new Blu-ray releases, and a continuing story in comics, 42 years later, Battlestar Galactica is still fighting Cylons and searching for Earth.
Join us for a nostalgic visual presentation, including a special tribute video, a light commentary, Q&A, a Galactica trivia contest with prizes, and a free raffle of Battlestar Galactica-related items.
Our special tribute video was produced and directed by Michael Stinar, with the approval and support of Glen Eric Larson, son of the late Glen Larson. Miss Sarah Rush, better known for her role of Flight Cpl. Rigel, Galactica bridge crew member on the Battlestar Galactica 1978 series, provided her favorite picture for the project. Also note that this tribute video will have its world convention premiere during the panel.
Come and celebrate the Twelve Colonies with Galactica fans of all ages as they discuss the one show that inspired so many Colonial Warriors in so many different ways!
