The Center for Affordable Prosthetics
The Center for Affordable Prosthetics is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to education and outreach centered on teaching students and community members the medical and educational benefits of 3d Printing.
We are an organization dedicated to providing alternatives for individuals who can not afford the staggering costs of biennial prostheses replacement.
The prohibitive expenditures required for those living with artificial limbs often means they simply can not afford to upgrade as needed. This is especially troublesome for children who grow out of their prosthetics quickly, leaving the need for upgrades costing between $10,000-50,000.
In order to assist these families, we will be spearheading a campaign to create a network of facilities willing and capable of printing out high quality prosthetics, across the country at no cost to the patient.
